Iguazu Falls, Argentina (map)
Before leaving for our round the world trip we laid out the highlights of the must see’s and Iguazu Falls of course made the short list. Having accomplished our goal to see Machu Picchu and an unexpected highlight of the Uyuni Salt Flats we were excited to keep the big sights coming as we headed into Argentina.
The problem with Argentina as we soon discovered is that it’s about 4 times the size of Texas and the major cities and sights are spread out further than the distance from Houston to El Paso. What this really meant for us though was Argentina was going to be expensive to get around; so far on average we are over twice our daily budget.
After fighting our way through the typical tourist crowds that accompany the new 7 Wonders of the World & World UNESCO site we can only imagine the same sentiments as First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt – “Poor Niagara”

Knowing pictures can’t capture the vastness of the falls we shot some videos as well, but towards the end of the day I started losing it a bit 🙂
