Books can really weigh you down while traveling and when I saw this free $10 Kindle eTextbook credit (good through 1/9/12) it got me wondering what could I buy for $10 in the textbook category?
One issue I have been trying to solve while we travel is the lack of using our smartphones to access the networks whenever we want. Ā Not so much for surfing the web but most of the translation and country information apps require a network toĀ look upĀ data on the fly.
So far we plan to take our Samsung Galaxy Android & Apple 3G smartphones plus a Dell 11z Ultrabook, but we have been very tempted to drop the old Apple and pickup one of the Kindle readers; but which should we choose?
$79Ā LightweightĀ Kindle (we went with this one – 4/3/12)
or the $199 Kindle Fire
So my thrifty picks for the trip are:
